Heritage Hills Golf course, with its rolling hills and undulating greens, was considered one of the “Best 75 Golf Courses” by Golf Digest in 1984. This excellent Phelps-Benz design is one of the most challenging tests of golf in the Midwest. Wonderful views of the native grasses offset by lush rolling fairways and fast greens provide an unforgettable golfing experience.
Heritage Hills opened in 1981 as one of the first links style courses built in Nebraska. It is the highest quality of design, course conditioning, and value.
In 2013, Heritage Hills underwent a major renovation. The mission of this renovation was to provide a golfing experience that accommodates players of all abilities. The back tees were lengthened to over 7,100 yards for the skilled golfer, however, the addition of many forward tees also dramatically shortened the golf course. Over 4,000 feet of concrete cart paths were installed by the staff resulting in less walking for golfers as well as improved pace of play.
The course has hosted most all NGA, NWAGA and NJGA events including the 2006 NE section CPC and 2014 Nebraska Junior Match Play Championship. Heritage Hills is the host of the annual John Mullen Community Hospital Pro-Am, which has raised hundreds of thousands for the hospital foundation over the years.
