Supers’ Blog
The last couple months have flown by and we have just realized we haven’t had a new post in awhile. Although we haven’t shared any new posts we have been busy with our regular winter maintenance and have took advantage of some of the nice weather to complete some cart path projects and a bunker project.
For those who do not know we have received a grant from the Red Willow County Tourism Committee to install new cart paths around the course that we feel would complement the courses ascetics as well as help improve playable in some of the areas. Our goal is to complete these additions by late spring and thought we would share some of the progress with you.
The first area we started on was adding a concrete cart path on #16 tee. The additional path is closer to the green, yellow, and red tee boxes. This addition was made with the intension of keeping carts on the path but cutting down on the walking distance for our customers who utilize these tees. Pictures show the project at different stages from start to finish.
After the completion of #16 we replaced the path on #1 tee that was being undermined from water erosion and causing the path to collapse. After #1 we moved to #12 tee and completed this new path with the same intension as #16. The next addition was to #8 green. We extended this path out another 60 feet or so. In doing so will help us to complete dirt work and sod the bare ground that was a result of compaction for many years. We will be completing two more pours in the next few weeks. Additions to the left side of #3 green and #4 tee will complete this project and should improve the look and playability of Heritage Hills for years to come. **Update**
Since starting the concrete projects mentioned above we have now reached the spring season and have mowed greens and will continue to increase our regular maintenance to the course on a more regular bases now that temperatures are starting to normalize. We will try to keep updating our members and guests when we see things of interest or importance.
